Lafayette Square Mall, in Indianapolis, Indiana, has undergone many changes since it opened in 1968. Recent energetic facelifts have infused new life into this shopping center which for so many years was considered something of a white elephant.
It’s fun to see Lafayette Square competing and holding its own with the local giants such as spanking new Circle Center and other Indianapolis shopping malls. Close to downtown Indianapolis for many decades, it at least had the advantage of location. Meandering through this noble mall, one has a sense of neighborhood shopping, as opposed to a shiny, upscale center. It’s friendly and familiar, kind of like home.
These days the Lafayette Square Mall boasts more than 90 shops and restaurants, plus four anchors and many favorite shopping destinations, including: Burlington Coat Factory, Payless Shoes, Radio Shack, Kay Jewelers, The Finish Line, Bath & Body Works and GameStop.
Bright, white and comfy, this inside mall is filled with sunlight from skylights and climate-controlled to keep shoppers happy. There are now two interior play areas for you to relax while your kids work off that excess energy.

I love this store the customer service is great, the atmosphere is wonderful!
the body oils smell wonderful. My favorite is Green, I burn this fragrance
and it smells like I’m in heaven. My entire family also goes to the Oil palace

I purchased carols daughter products here at the Oil palace. And love the product. the oil palace is not Carols daughter. they are independent. and to
post this comment on the internet is a form of harrasment. t
I purchased some Carol’s Daughter hair products for the Oil Palace located in Lafayette Square Mall on Thursday March 31st. I took the products home and tried them out on my hair and was not satisfied with the results. I look on my receipt for the return policy of the store and there was no information, but I did know from the Carol’s Daughter website that they have a 100% Satisfaction Guarrantee so I called the Oil Palace back and proceeded to get the run around from the staff. I called several times and was told that I need to talk to the owner, I then called again and spoke to an employee that said she would discuss the situation with the owner and see what they could do for me to return the products and would return my call. It is not Monday April 4th and I have yet to receive a return call. I will report this business to the Better Business Bureau and believe that this type of shady business practices is the reason Lafayette Square Mall is fastly going out of business.
