Hanna Haunted Acres, a premier scary amusement park, is located on the southeast corner of metropolitan Indianapolis, Indiana, just 7-1/2 miles from downtown Indianapolis. All Indianapolis kids just love this place. Take yours with you, or at least go with someone who makes you feel safe!
This collection of haunted hayrides, haunted houses, haunted mazes, and much more, is billed as Indy’s best Halloween haunted attraction. Be that as it may, it’s one of the many great Indianapolis attractions that is a must-see… especially in late October.
The main features of Hanna Haunted Acres are the three frightening fright houses (one is called Phantazmagoria), the Haunted Hayride (tractor-drawn, it’s a favorite), the Corn Maze (aptly named “Entanglement”) and the brand-new Blackout Maze in which you fumble through dark and creepy corridors. They say that in both mazes you can get seriously lost. Rumor further has it that many visitors never make it past the first haunted house. If you do, you’ll have to face two other horrifying houses, Hell’s Half-Acre and Acres Manor.
How to get there:
Go to the southeast side from I-465
Take the Emerson Avenue Exit (52 – Beech Grove)
Continue north to Churchman Avenue, turn right (east)
After Arlington Avenue, Churchman becomes Hanna Avenue
Cross through the intersection at 5 Points Road
Go about ½ mile and you’ll see the Hanna Haunted Acres sign on the right (south)
