Originally built for the Pan American Games, the Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium, located in Indianapolis, hosts several international, national and regional Indianapolis events.  It is considered a premier outdoor soccer facility, and serves as home base for the IUPUI men’s soccer and IUPUI women’s soccer teams.

Two FIFA regulated game fields are located within the stadium, each measuring 120 yards long and 75 yards wide.  Bleacher seating can accommodate up to 5,257 fans located on three sides of the fields.  Since Kuntz’s opening in 1987, facilities have been remodeled to include updated locker rooms, officials’ rooms, trainer’s facilities, press box and a VIP Conference Room.

Kuntz Stadium served the Indiana Blast from 1998 to 2004, and is currently home to FC Indiana.  The annual IHSAA boys and girls soccer championships also take place there.  Some notable events that have been held there include the 1996 Snickers/U.S. Youth National Championships, National Amateur Cup Championships, Cupo Mexicano Regional Championship and the Indianapolis/Scarborough Peace Games.

In addition, the U.S. Women’s and Men’s Olympic Soccer teams have trained and played at Kuntz, as well as teams from Iceland and France. With its excellent location just on the north side of Victory Field and a few blocks north of the IUPUI campus it serves, in downtown Indianapolis, Kuntz Stadium is an Indianapolis sports haven for soccer players and their fans.
