For current show information at the Pike Performing Arts Center, visit its website.

The Pike Performing Arts Center is a great asset to both Indianapolis education and Indianapolis art, showcasing a number of great shows every year for both students and the general public in an upscale Indianapolis performing arts theatre.

Located in northwestern Indianapolis, near Eagle Creek Park and the Lafayette Square Mall, the Pike Performing Arts Center is part of the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township. This state of the art facility can seat over 1400 audience members and is home to the talented Pike High School Performing Arts Department. It also features a number of touring and local performances, including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis and the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre.

The Pike Performing Arts Center is a fantastic place to take in local Indianapolis music. The arena features a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, making dance productions, orchestras, and plays come to life. Both local and touring shows benefit from the clear acoustics, huge stage, and comfortable interior.

If you’re looking for something a little removed from the bustle of downtown Indianapolis, the Pike Performing Arts Center is just one of the many things to do in Indianapolis. The center offers a ton of free parking, so you’ll never have to spend an hour trying to find a spot.

But this center of Indianapolis performing arts is not just a venue for entrancing shows and music; it’s also a learning experience. LEAP (Linking Education and the Arts Program) is a series of three productions tailored specifically to Indianapolis kids. These are engaging, educational shows and concerts that students can benefit from at their own learning level.

The most recent LEAP performance featured Samite, a Ugandan refugee and musician who presented his multimedia performance experience called Journey to the Soul of Africa. The performance included music, stories, and photos about a variety of different African cultures.
