Marianne Glick began painting in September of 2004 as a way to positively approach the long winter months. In the spring and summer months, Marianne loves to garden, and it was gardening, in fact, that inspired her first paintings of flowers. From the photographs of the garden in the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons in Indianapolis, her paintings blossomed into the works she does today.
Marianne mostly works in water color and acrylics. Her work has been exhibited at the Indianapolis Art Center, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the American United Life Building in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Sullivan Munce Cultural Center and the Eagle Creek Coffee Company in Zionsville, Indiana.
Marianne Glick‘s work has also been presented in juried competitions sponsored by the Watercolor Society of Indiana, California Art Day and others. Well-known and well-respected among Indianapolis artists, Marianne Glick also holds a special place in the Hoosier heart for her philanthropic work around Indy. She is equally recognized as president and founder of Glick Training Associates, Inc., a company that offers training to organizations to increase their overall effectiveness.
The artist-philanthropist-business leader is equally respected for her dedication to the Marilyn K. Glick School for Art, an Indianapolis art school and exhibition space located within the outdoor halls of the ARTSPARK, which in turn can be found inside the enormous Indianapolis Art Center in Broad Ripple Village. A leader in Indianapolis society and a staunch member of the Indianapolis art community, Marianne Glick has come a long way in just a few years.
