Mary Ann Davis | Indianapolis Artist

Mary Ann Davis owes a lot to her solid background as a graphic designer. In fact, she has owned and operated Davis Graphic Design since 1991, a prominent fixture in Indianapolis art and Indianapolis art galleries.

Her artistic educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Herron School of Art, with an emphasis in lithography. She has also spent significant time under the tutelage of well known artists in Indianapolis and its environs, such as Lois Griffel, Antonious Raemaekers and Carolyn Anderson.

Though her work is classified as representational, much of it can be termed “neo-impressionistic.” She employs a luscious color palette and a confident hand to make her eye-pleasing creations. It is her practice to paint plein air landscapes and portraits almost exclusively.

Mary Ann presently has her work in the Hoosier Salon in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Mary Williams Fine Art gallery in Boulder, Colorado, Sheldon Fine Arts in Naples, Florida, and Wickliff Fine Art in Zionsville.

Mary Ann Davis is one of the many creative Hoosiers working in Indianapolis and other cities in Indiana.
