Benjamin Harrison YMCA is one of the eleven branches that make up the Indianapolis YMCA. The other branches are: YMCA at the Athenaeum, Baxter YMCA, Butler Intercollegiate YMCA, Fishers YMCA, Flat Rock River YMCA Camp, Jordan YMCA, Pike YMCA, Ransburg YMCA, Urban Mission YMCA, and West District YMCA. As you might have presumed, Benjamin Harrison YMCA is named after former U.S. President Benjamin Harrison. This YMCA facility, located northeast of downtown on Lee Rd. in Indianapolis, Indiana, is one of Indy‘s finest fitness facilities and family centers and a bastion for Indianapolis health in general.
Members and visitors of Benjamin Harrison YMCA can enjoy the indoor lap pool and recreation pool with zero depth entry, a full sized gymnasium and family gym. The facility also features a family center with WII games, air hockey, foosball, computers, and an indoor play structure so Indianapolis kids feel right at home. Visitors can also take advantage of the 6,000 square foot wellness center.
Benjamin Harrison YMCA hosts a number of Indianapolis sports and recreation programs, and other types of special interest programs for both kids and adults. It also sponsors several community events in Indianapolis throughout the year. Parents can enjoy special childcare rates for dates and times specified as parents’ day or night outings and seasonal events are also available for kids.
