The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, founded in 1982, is mounted every four years in Indianapolis. Considered one of the foremost music competitions of its kind in the world, the International Violin Competition will next convene September 10-26 in 2010.
Prize money and international recognition draw talented young violinists from all corners of the earth to participate in the 17-day music competition. This is one of the most respected Indianapolis events, and a very special and much-anticipated time for Indianapolis music.
