IUPUI Women’s Swimming and Diving

The IUPUI Women’s Swimming and Diving athletes practice and host meets at the Olympic training-worthy IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.  Jim Shuck is the head coach for the IUPUI swimming and diving teams, assisted by Patrick Morgan, Brian Wheeler and Josh Riedy.  Dr. Johanna Doecke specializes in directing divers’ training, and Heather Chapman assists with diving and recruiting for the Jags.

The women Jaguars are some of the luckiest swimmers and divers in Indiana, and some of the most dedicated as well. The IU Natatorium is considered to be one of the fastest pools of its kind in the entire world, every inch a star in Indianapolis sports. The venue attracts serious attention, hosting swimmers and divers across the globe for countless events. A list of these events would have to oinclude the USA Olympic Trials, the USA Swimming National Championships and the MegaZone Championships in 2003.

The Natatorium has been home to both the IUPUI men’s swimming and diving team and the IUPUI women’s swimming and diving team since 1998. The teams regularly crank out sports stars among their competitors in Indiana and across the nation.
