The Circle City Classic: Always a Game for the Ages

The Circle City Classic is one of the two major events produced by the Indiana Black Expo in Indianapolis. Held on a weekend in the fall, it is a showcase featuring the best of black college football. During the Circle City Classic, more than 175,000 visitors enjoy the incredible tradition, talent and energy of African-Americans in downtown Indianapolis. There’s the Circle City Classic football game, the Classic Parade and the well-known Indianapolis Colts Classic Coaches Luncheon with famous names such as Willie Slater and Anthony Jones. The game itself takes place at the home of the Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium.

There is the all-important Classic Gala which takes place in the Indiana Convention Center, the ever-popular Classic Cabaret night and many other special events in Indianapolis, such as the Classic Youth Football and Cheerleading Clinic, the College Readiness Workshop and many scholarship and recruitment network opportunities. Most of these workshops are focused on helping minorities further their education in Indianapolis.  All of the events taking place are geared towards helping spread the African-American culture in Indianapolis.
