The Alley Cat Lounge is located in, of all places, an alley in the Broad Ripple Village, one of the six Indianapolis cultural districts. Indianapolis locals and regulars know this dive bar as “The Cat.” It has been recognized as one of the ‘Top 20 Dive Bars in the United States” by Stuff magazine. So, “hole in the wall” and “dive” are more than fitting for this haven of cheap beer and good times.
The Cat is one of many fun restaurants in Indianapolis. It holds an eclectic crowd that enjoys beer out of the can and mixed drinks in clear plastic cups. A photo hunt game sits at the bar and a Miller Lite sign hangs from the wall as the main piece of artwork. The Alley Cat Lounge also offers patrons pool tables, darts, and a not-so-new television. Friendly service and the unique atmosphere is why Indianapolis residents adore this small Indianapolis bar. This is a place where you can grind a cigarette into the floor instead of using an ashtray. The cheap drinks will make you feel right at home, and the friendly patrons (if not the sticky floor) are sure to keep you there for a while.

Broad Ripple is not the North Side of Indianapolis.
