The Chatterbox Jazz Club is located in the middle of the Mass Ave Cultural District across from the Murat Theatre and the Athenaeum, erstwhile home to the American Cabaret Theatre. The bar is a smoking establishment, making it one of the most popular of the many Indianapolis bars, and you must be at least 21 years old to enter.
Also big in Indianapolis music, the club features live jazz five nights a week, and three of the nights are without a cover charge. On Friday and Saturday night there is an after dinner theatre starting at 10:30 with a $5.00 cash cover charge except for special events. On Sunday, Cathy Morris & Friends host a Jazz Jam, Wednesday are performances by the Jesse Wittman Trio, and Thursday The Frank Glover and Claude Sifferen Duo perform, 8:00pm – 11:00pm each night. The last Wednesday of every month the Chatterbox Jazz Club host Special Event Beverage Tastings, January through October with seating at 6:00pm, and tasting from 6:30 – 8:00pm.
