Danny Granger, who normally plays as a small forward for the National Basketball Association’s Indiana Pacers out of Indianapolis, sometimes also plays the four position, due to his exceptional athletic ability and speed.
Born in New Orleans in 1983, he won attention at both Bradley University and the University of New Mexico, where he was All-MWC first team and an AP Honorable Mention All-American.
Drafted in round 1 of 2005, 17th overall by the Indiana Pacers, Granger turned in good stats and made the All-NBA Rookie second team.

During the 2007-08 season, Danny Granger started all of his 80 games and averaged 19 ppg, leading the Pacers in scoring. He now owns a five-year contract, signed in October of 2008, worth a whopping total of $64 million.
All these elements combine to give Danny Granger a place on the “famous people of Indianapolis” list. Indianapolis sports, and especially Indianapolis basketball, would not be quite the same without him.
