Are you looking for a fun night of dancing and partying in downtown Indianapolis? You may be lucky enough to catch Lemon Wheel, a popular 6-member dance band based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The group typically plays everything from disco, rock, classic rock, pop, and a few country top 40 hits.
The five lead vocalists, including two front female performers, create impressive four-part harmonies in songs dating from the 70′s to present day. Typical venues where Lemon Wheel performs are the The Brick House, Bucky’s, Jillian’s, Mo’s Irish Pub, The Rathskeller, and Zanies Too. The band generally sticks to playing music in Indianapolis and its environs, rather than touring throughout other cities in Indiana.
Lemon Wheel‘s name is influenced by the sliced fruit used to decorate your glass when ordering a cocktail from your favorite bartender. The lemon is sliced into thin circles, then each is cut from the center to the rind in order to hug the edge of the glass correctly.
Among the many Indianapolis bands, Lemon Wheel is well-known and well-liked. The group is available for private and corporate functions as well.
