The Vogue is one of the oldest pillars of Indianapolis nightlife. Situated on College Avenue, near the Broad Ripple Village, the Vogue is the perfect spot to experience great national, regional and Indianapolis music.

This Indianapolis bar, dance club, and concert venue was opened in June of 1938 as a movie theater. It was a prominent Midwest movie house for three years before closing down. It then reopened in 1977 with a different breed of films. The Vogue became known for its showings of X-rated films and even ran the cult classic Deep Throat.

As the times changed, The Vogue has most certainly adapted. Today, it has morphed into a well-known dance club and hosts musicians from all over the country. The famous singers and bands that have taken the stage cannot be listed in their entirety, but it should be noted that Bo Diddley, The White Stripes, Johnny Cash, The Dave Matthews Band, and Bob Weir and Mickey Hart (of The Grateful Dead) have walked through the back entrance of Indianapolis‘ premier nightclub.

The Vogue has been voted as the best dance club in 2008 by AOL City Guide and the best place for live music in 2007. NUVO ranked it as #1 Best Nightclub, #1 Best Dance Club, #1 Best Midweek Dance Party (for RetroRewind), #1 Best Place for Live Music, #3 Best Places for VIP, and #3 Best Ladies Night. Among a slew of other awards, its longevity and popularity is recognized across Indiana and the Midwest.

With two levels, strobe lights, and dancers that would look at home in a Janet Jackson video, this top Indianapolis attraction will wake you up and energize the soul. Whether you want to see an amazing performance or show off your own dance moves, you’ll never be let down by the service, music selection, and atmosphere.

Tickets for shows can be purchased at any Ticketmaster outlet, including Marsh and Karma record stores, or swing by in advance to buy them at The Vogue’s own ticket box. For more information on The Vogue, including hours and upcoming events, please visit the club’s homepage.
