Stoops Freightliner

Stoops Freightliner is one of the largest dealers of heavy duty trucks in the United States, with six retail locations in the midwest. The company sells an entire line of Freightliner, Sprinter, Sterling and Western Star products. This Indianapolis business began in the late 1980s, and is now one of the largest private Indianapolis companies.

Jeff Stoops began his career in Indianapolis education, as a schoolteacher. For a few extra bucks Stoops began driving trucks on the side, and eventually left teaching to drive full time. Eventually, he started his own trucking company with just a single truck. That company became one of the top 50 trucking companies in the United States, and it was sold to the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1984. Stoops then opened a new business in 1987 and called it Stoops Freightliner.

Stoops Freightliner was one of the first dealers to offer a service that operated around the clock, 24-7. In 1994, the company was named the ATD North American Dealer of the Year.

Company headquarters are located on the south side of the Circle City, near I-465. There are three other Stoops Freightliner locations in the Hoosier State, in Anderson, Fremont and Fort Wayne. If location presents a dilemma for customers, Stoops Freightliner features a user-friendly online directory of products. If a customer needs a new or used product that is not in stock, Stoops Freighliner will search their large business network to deliver the product as soon as possible. Their  interactive webpage has photos and descriptions of products to make shopping online easier.

Jeff Stoops has always gone to great lengths to ensure the happiness of his customers, and his business has thrived due to customer satisfaction and service.
