Huber’s Winery has a long history of tradition in the town of Starlight. When Simon Huber settled his farm there in 1843 after arriving from Germany, he brought with him years of experience of growing fruit and making wine. The farm now spreads over an impressive span of 600 acres, making it one of the largest wineries in the state.
The Hubers are committed to growing not only the best quality of grapes for their customers, but also to growing the biggest variety. 18 different kinds of grapes are planted in the vineyards, allowing for a long line of unusual and tasty varieties that grace the wine list.
The Huber tradition has become more than just a winery, due to its long history in the town of Starlight. The restored original barn is now a fascinating place to tour and sits next to the beautiful underground wine cellar. The old-world craft of winemaking blends with the modern new equipment and technology in the cellar, allowing visitors a glimpse of how the winery got its start back in the 19th century.
