Ale Emporium and Restaurant: The Roar of a Hungry Crowd in Northeast Indianapolis

In between Fishers and Carmel, Indiana, about five miles from both and perhaps ten from North Indianapolis cultural district Broad Ripple, is a fun place called Ale Emporium and Restaurant. Not your neighborhood sports bar, but a place dedicated to all Indianapolis sports in a state crazy for them, the Ale Emporium possesses seven front screen projectors and no less than 28 high-definition screens for your viewing and cheering pleasure. Of the many excellent restaurants in North East Indianapolis, Ale Emporium is definitely a favorite.

With all the action, live entertainment, food and drink specials, private party rooms, a free pub card and even Coors Light on draft, the Ale Emporium and Restaurant is a dream come true for those who live for their tribal rituals. The “Big Ten” network carries the nation’s top basketball and football games, and DirecTV’s “MLB Extra Innings” brings you up to 80 baseball games per week, which includes Cubs games.

You can’t hang at a sports bar without great ales near at hand, right? Ale Emporium has more than 100 different ales to further saturate your senses, and they’re always running specials, such as Heineken Light for only three bucks.

The food at the Ale Emporium and Restaurant plays the field like the Colts. You can get “Touchdown Chicken,” which is a dish of boneless and skinless chicken breasts with your choice of side dish. Or the “Kickin’ Chicken,” full of Cajun spices and smothered with diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions and mixed cheeses. “Power Plays” are Ale Emporium sandwiches guaranteed to keep you happy while enjoying the game with your friends. There’s the “White Stromboli,” made with smoked Gouda, pepperoni, smoked chicken, onions, bacon bits and pepperoncini on a hoagie bun. There’s a classic “Beef and Cheddar” sandwich, made with thinly-sliced, succulent Ribeye steak, bacon strips and cheddar cheese on a hoagie. Or you might work up an appetite identifying with your favorite star athletes, and go for the “Tenderloin Sandwich,” a perfectly cooked, beer-battered, breaded and grilled pork filet.

Seriously into dinner? Get Ale Emporium’s “Bacon-Wrapped Filet” or the “Char-Grilled Chicken Breast” with sides of the house salad, a cup of soup and baked or Friench-fried potatoes. The popular Indianapolis sports bar also offers burgers galore, tons of different sides and munchies like nachos, and even pizza.

In the Ale Emporium, the restaurant’s game room attracts as many fans as the viewing and cheering areas do, with a cool jukebox, shuffle board, billiards and an arcade. And they have a private party room that frequently rocks out behind closed doors, with upscale leather, overstuffed living room-style furnishings, a fireplace, two plasma televisions, a poker or meeting table and an upgraded audio system.

Every weekend at Ale Emporium people flock to the Northeast Indianapolis restaurant to hear some of the best live music in Indianapolis, with local and not-so-local groups raising the rafters and raising the bar. Partake soon and become part of the tribe.
