El Torito Grill embraces the slogan, “a unique Mexican interpretation.” It seems an accurate representation of this popular restaurant in Indianapolis. They have, in fact, developed nine different locations, all of which are in California except this lone El Torito in Indianapolis‘ northeastern sector. That by no means signifies a lack of interest in Mexican food on the part of Hoosiers. Midwesterners adore Mexican dishes just as much as everyone else around the world these days.
You will find the El Torito Grill serving up an irresistible collection of favorite south of the border items inside their fine restaurant in Fashion Mall at Keystone Crossing, also known as Keystone Mall. This is one of the most popular shopping malls in Indianapolis, and El Torito is a hungry shopper’s star destination there.
The menu reflects gourmet Mexican food chosen with a great deal of deliberation. Take the “Blackened Chicken Pasta,” for example, one of the Chef’s Specials. It’s a dish around a succulent chicken breast blackened on the Torito mesquite grill and served with cotija cheese, basil and tomatoes, all tossed in a fettucini with a creamy tomato sauce. Does that not sound delicioso?
Graduate to the Filet Mignon Enchiladas with Grilled Shrimp, Mesquite-broiled fish and steaks, a Mexican Platter to sate your spicy yearnings, the Chipotle Barbecue Shrimp, the Grill’s Fajitas Supremas, combinations such as the Mesquite-Grilled Chicken and Steak alongside El Torito’s famous Corn Enchilada and Steak Pecos Chimi, classic enchiladas and tacos and even a Lobster Quesadilla, and you will know what it is to be hypnotized by the vivid, sensual Latin way.
El Torito Grill offers a sophisticated yet casual Mexican dining experience backed by more than twenty years of solid restaurant experience. Only high-quality, fresh ingredients are used to create up-to-date contemporary Mexican food and the El Torito traditional classics. The design of this North East Indianapolis restaurant is intentionally upscale, as opposed to down-home, with colors more subtle than the usual primary palettes and all upgraded design, seating and lighting. The management maintains a commitment to innovation and authenticity, along with a serving philosophy that encourages the staff to treat you as if you are at home. “Estas en tu casa,” is how they say it in Mexico. Which means, very simply, “You’re home.”
