GT South’s Rib House restaurant serves from two locations in metropolitan Indianapolis, and the two cover the east side of Indy with aplomb. The GT South’s Rib House at Beech Grove, Indiana is one of the best restaurants in South Indianapolis and the one close to both Fishers and Carmel, Indiana is one of the best restaurants in Northeast Indianapolis. In fact, fans come from miles around if they have to, just to get a taste of GT South’s fabulous barbecue, (for which they’re famous,) and see if it’s as good as they remembered it was.
It always is. Southern Bar-B-Que, after all, is famous for a reason. At GT South’s, their award-winning baby back ribs are glazed with a hickory-smoked barbecue sauce that is the definition of the term. The authentic Southern barbecue sauce goes into most of GT South’s items. One such favorite is the Pulled Pork Sandwich, smoked, tender pork piled high on a big bun and smothered in mouthwatering barbecue sauce. You can get it on a platter too, also piled high, also delectable.
At GT South’s restaurant, only the best-quality meats are chosen, and then for up to twelve hours, they are slowly smoked in one of their two enormous, hickory-wood filled fire pits. GT South’s Bar-B-Q Chicken Platter, for example, is a study in succulence, with chicken slowly smoked and pulled from the bone, to be made inspirational with Southern Bar-B-Que sauce. Even the Nachos are made with it at GT South’s restaurant.
For contrast, accompany your barbecue fest with the Brunswick Stew, another Southern cooking treat, made with three kinds of meat, corn, tomatoes and spices that have been simmered for hours, and dressed up with GT South’s famous cornbread. Or try the homemade White Bean Soup or a nice crisp salad. But is there Potato Salad, you say? But of course, and Mac and Cheese, Turnip Greens and Cole Slaw too.
Top off your frenzy with a Florida Key Lime Pie or one of GT South’s famous cobblers, and you have created a memory you will dream about until the next time you visit this excellent restaurant.
