John Leguizamo: Work in Progress

Anti-recession-depression, anyone? This new theatre piece opens at the Indiana Repertory Theatre in downtown Indianapolis July 31. Showtime is 8 pm, and tickets range from $30 to $37.

John Leguizamo is a renowned monologist whose “Work in Progress” is autobiographical in nature, heartfelt and uproariously funny. Leguizamo is a fast-talking, spicy kind of actor-comic, born in Bogotá, Colombia, and emigrating to Queens, New York at the tender age of four. Leguizamo has a rapidly-expanding resume in film, television and stand-up comedy. Fans endow him with the strange ability to somehow move his audience no matter what the media.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre can be found at 140 West Washington Street in the center of Indianapolis. The Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) sells over 100,000 tickets annually and has been named “Theatre Laureate,” by the General Assembly of Indiana. The location is right next to the Circle Center Mall, in between the Indianapolis Hilton and the Conrad Hotel, and across the street from the Indiana State Capitol Building.

This unique show is a two-night-only event in Indianapolis.
