Indiana State Fair weekend highlights

INDIANAPOLIS: The Indiana State Fair has blossomed into one of the major events in Indianapolis, as well as other cities in Indiana, and possibly the entire Midwest. It does, after all, represent Midwest America to a tee, and cater to their every Midwestern whim. The history of the Indiana State Fair reads like a tiny abbreviated history of Indianapolis itself, and there is no doubt whatsoever that Indianapolis culture and society would be altered if the Fair never came to town.

Located just north of downtown Indianapolis, the Indiana State Fairgrounds constitute the jam-packed locale for over two weeks of fun this year, from August 7 through August 23, 2009. Below are the highlights for the upcoming weekend. Stay tuned to Fun City Finder’s news section for more, more, more.
