University of Indianapolis Hosts Sculpture Walk

Fifth Third Bank is sponsoring a special art event on the University of Indianapolis campus on the south side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The public is invited to take a self guided tour of twenty one sculptures placed outdoors on the downtown Indianapolis campus.

The sculptures featured in the Fifth Third Bank Campus Sculpture Walk represent artists from across the country whose works of art represent a wide spectrum of possibilities. Anyone who chooses to take the walk will enjoy sculptures ranging from pieces made of painted steel to terra cotta. The exhibit is the result of the Fifth Third Bank Campus Sculpture Walk Competition where judges chose sculptures representing many different moods and artistic energies. Hoosiers of all ages will find this free event thought provoking and enjoyable.

The University of Indianapolis campus art exhibition is open from dawn ‘til dust and will conclude on August 31, 2009. The exhibit begins at the west entrance to campus near the Fifth Third Bank at 3995 Shelby St. The University of Indianapolis is a major contributor to Indianapolis art and is a perfect example of a great Indianapolis school.
