In September of 2009, the Wuhnurth (pronounced One Earth) Music Festival will take over the Water Bowl, an expansive outdoor music venue in Muncie, Indiana. The home of Ball State University will play host to a legion of Indianapolis music acts, including DJ’s, bands, dancers, and more, spread out over three stages and a massive circus tent.
Acts playing at the Wuhnurth Music Festival come from all over Indiana, including The Great Hookup from Indianapolis, Root Hog from Lafayette (home of Purdue University), Shaggy Wonda from Bloomington (home of Indiana University and a host of excellent Indianapolis bands), and many more.
In addition to the over thirty bands and DJ’s at the Muncie event, the Wuhnurth Music Festival will also play host to tons of vendors and laser light shows. Participants will be able to play volleyball and mini-golf, toast s’mores by a campfire, and spend meaningful time with their kids at this family-friendly event.

The Wuhnurth Music Festival isn’t all about live music, however. In the end, this event is about environmental responsibility. All bands and vendors have been chosen because of their commitment to eco-friendly practices. The music acts are all participating in the event for free, in an effort to spread the festival’s green message. Vendors and artists are all local to the Midwest area and use sustainable materials and practices in their businesses. Even the light shows for musicians use energy-saving LED lights.
The Wuhnurth Music Festival will take place on Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13. Tickets are $30 for a three day pass during the pre-sale, $20 for a one day pass at the gate, and $40 at the gate for a three day pass. Order your tickets early to participate in this entertaining green event!
