A Cynic Tells Love Stories is a delightful one woman show currently playing at the Phoenix Theatre as part of the indyFringe Theatre Festival. Katherine Glover, who wrote and performs in this compilation of love stories from her own life, gets you on her wave length right from the beginning.
A Cynic Tells Love Stories is a journey through the life of a girl as she wades through her own romantic and sexual issues. From bisexuality to friend crushes to the dynamics of hand holding to a one night stand that changed her life, Glover has the air of an old friend dishing out the latest gossip. As this free spirit wades through the romantic ocean of her life, she shares the lessons she has learned, mistakes she has made, and the triumphs she has had.
This show is perfect for that girls night out you have been planning. Take your sister, your mother, your girlfriends, and even your teenage daughter to listen to a conversation about love and all the baggage that comes with it. I guarantee you will hear yourself in atleast one of Glover’s stories, as she hits on some of the most difficult and universal themes having to do with love.
