Summer is winding down, and residents of Indianapolis are rushing to get in all their last minute Indianapolis music kicks before Old Man Winter buries Indianapolis nightlife under a blanket of snow. But don’t worry too much; the Circle City still has all fall to flex its musical muscles.
The last weekend in August is no exception. There are Indianapolis bands playing at Indianapolis music venues all over, and there’s sure to be something for everyone. Like those hard bop sounds? Head over to Jazz on the Avenue at the Walker Theatre. More of an easy listening person? Randy Strand’s Love Me Tender is going on at the Phoenix Theatre. Into something a little harder? Check out Ready the Destroyer at The Melody Inn on Thursday and the Emerson Theatre on Friday.
