14th Annual Rib America Festival: Celebrate Labor Day Downtown Indianapolis

For the past fourteen years, Indianapolis has been home to the Rib America Festival, a weekend long celebration of good food, good times and the end of summer. The Rib America Festival gets underway starting Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7th. Get your tickets for now for only $5!

This year’s Rib America Festival is taking over the Circle City. With ten rib teams from across the country including Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Texas, Tennessee,Ohio, and Indiana, you can sample the best American barbecue that exists! Each team will have a different meal deal for purchase, and some have even agreed to put their recipes on the Rib America website so fans can enjoy their sweet and tangy tastes all year round.

In addition, a variety of different beverage options will be available for purchase. And this year you can even score a free Coca-cola product simply by donating to a canned food drive run by Shepherd Community Center at this Indianapolis festival. Food beverage and game tickets are sold in bundles of $3, $7, and $10. So bring cash and come hungry!

To top it all off, when the Rib America Festival takes over Indianapolis downtown, they will play host to seventeen different music artists. They will share a stage at Military Park in various time slots starting at 5 pm on Friday evening. These bands are sure to spice up the Indianapolis music scene while they are here. They will be hot so you do not want to miss them!

Monday, September 7
Noon – Jennie Devoe
1:30 pm – Hotel California (Salute to the Eagles)
4:00 pm – The Fabulous Motown Revue
6:30 pm – Morris Day and the Time

If you are looking to come to Indy to celebrate the last official weekend of summer, plan on staying at Rib America Festival’s official Indianapolis hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn. Just a stones throw away from Monument Circle and Military Park, where all the action will be!
