Sponsored by the State of Indiana, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) has a mission to provide quality housing for all Hoosiers. With one focus being on nurturing our local Indianapolis real estate economy, IHCDA believes that our concentration should start at home. They feel that everyone needs to be afforded the opportunity to have good safe housing in a reliable community at a reasonable price.
Focusing on community is paramount to IHCDA with their emphasis on helping these groups gather their own resources to be self-sufficient and provide ample sources of services to themselves. The types of solutions promoted in housing is not limited to just homeownership but rather supporting ventures such as temporary shelters.
Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority accomplishes it mission with the help of nearly all of those areas represented in the housing market including development, investing, lending and charities who are commissioned to help those needing low and middle-income housing. They also work with private and governmental funding to advance well-produced plans that will contribute to local Indianapolis and surrounding communities.
