September 8, 2009 marked the beginning of the five-day All American Horse Classic, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, just northeast of downtown Indianapolis. The show takes place in the famous Pepsi Coliseum and the Outdoor Arena on the fairgrounds through this coming Saturday evening (see schedule below). Admission is absolutely free to the public, so mark it down on your calendar right now!
The All American Horse Classic is very proud to have been named the ASHA Bluegrass Regional Championship for 2009. The “Classic” is produced to benefit a greater Indianapolis non-profit organization out of nearby Plainfield, Indiana, called “Strides to Success.” This unique learning program uses Equine Facilitated Learning to improve the life skills of its participants.
The All American competition offers big prize money that totals more than $700,000 for 2009. Spotlighted are the excellent exhibitions, equitation competitions, new judges, many great classes and the comfy, down-home atmosphere of the Circle City and its famous Hoosier hospitality. Adults and children in Indianapolis and other cities in Indiana who love horses won’t want to miss this free event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
