The important Indianapolis charity and fundraising event, Stepping Out in Style, is set for September 16, next Wednesday at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The event is for the benefit of the Dress for Success Indianapolis organization, which provides appropriate professional clothing and career support to disadvantaged women in Indianapolis and environs. Guests will be treated to a scrumptious dinner and a fun fashion show, plus various raffles and “The Diamond Dig,” described below.
Stepping Out is gaining ground every year as a high-profile charity event in Indianapolis. Raffles and surprises enhance guests’ dining experience at the world-class Marriott Downtown Hotel in Indianapolis. Another activity is The Diamond Dig, a popular game of chance where players test their luck at $10 per scoop of sand which may or may not contain a loose diamond.
Proceeds from Stepping Out go to the Dress for Success organization, which uses them to help improve the lives of their “adopted” women. The main event, of course, is the fashion show.
Participants for the 2009 Stepping Out in Style include Honorary Chairperson Alpha Blackburn, Emcee Julia Moffitt of WTHR Channel 13 and Brian Wilkes of FOX 59, the male Emcee for the Indianapolis event, models and clients with their escorts from the local fire department.
