Coming up this weekend from Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20, the 14th Annual Indy Irish Fest convenes in one of the favorite gathering spots for Indianapolis festivals, Military Park. Celebrating the famous diversity that makes Indianapolis culture such a strong force in Indiana and the nation, the 14th Annual Indy Irish Fest attracts crowds of revelers to downtown Indianapolis every year on the cusp of summer.
Activities at this fun Indianapolis event include dog shows such as “College Night” on Friday, a hurling contest, “Celtic Canines,” family clan tents, a big Irish toast contest, a cultural area, the “Rugby Jamboree,” a complete Irish breakfast put on by Claddagh Irish Pub on Saturday morning, several walks and runs such as the “Kilted Mile,” sheep herding demonstrations and just plain fun for Indianapolis children and adults alike.
Along with the activities, there will be non-stop entertainment on no less than four stages. Festival-goers will enjoy the sound and atmosphere of live music in Indianapolis of the Irish variety. Several groups from Indiana, including local Indianapolis bands will entertain the merry masses with their music, like one of the most the popular local celtic rock bands, Mother Grove doing “Kilt Rock,” and The Fenians, coming all the way to Indianapolis from Orange County, California.
Join the fun; you might get lucky.
