Abstract Art Takes Over Garfield Park

The Midwest National Abstract Art Exhibition V is back to present its annual show right here in Indianapolis. Sponsored in part by the Southside Arts League Inc and the Garfield Park Art Center which is located less than three miles form downtown IndianapolisGarfield Park. This is the competition’s fifth year which will display work from 30 different artists representing nine states, including Indiana.

While the judging has finished, the art itself will be on display from September 19- October 11, 2009. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to support the Indianapolis arts community and meet some of the very best Indianapolis artists in the Circle City. There are 50 pieces of abstract art on display and all are for sale. So even though the exhibit will be up for nearly a month, make sure you get their early so as not to miss out on your chance to add to your art collection.

The Garfield Art Center is located in the center of the Garfield Park, near the pagoda. As an added bonus this temporary Indianapolis art gallery is free to the public, so you have no excuse not to get up and check it out.
