Despite a struggling Indianapolis economy, 15 employers are going to be at Purdue University Calumet’s 4th annual Manufacturing Industry Job and Resource Fair. The Manufacturing Industry Job and Resource Fair will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Purdue campus’ Calumet Conference Center.
Indianapolis businesses will be looking for qualified individuals to fill new staff positions. The fair is intended for engineers, operators, technicians, mechanics, logisticians, supervisors, individuals with business backgrounds and others qualified for jobs in the manufacturing industry, including Purdue Calumet students and alumni. Attendees to the Manufacturing Industry Job and Resource Fair should bring copies of their resume, an open mind, and a smile.
Additionally, those who attend the job fair will have an opportunity to receive job search assistance. Traind professionals will be on hand to review and edit resumes. Also information about how to further a career in Indianapolis business will also be available. The people of Indianapolis deserve a chance to get back on their feet, and that is what the 4th annual Manufacturing Industry Job and Resource Fair is all about.
“Although this year’s fair is smaller than past fairs, we are excited to offer this opportunity to students, alumni and the community during these difficult economic times,” Purdue Calumet Director of Career Services Shelly Robinson said.
