Though strides have been made in alleviating diabetes, the disease still constitutes a major threat to an increasing number of people every year. Complications from diabetes include kidney failure, nervous system damage and disease, amputations, stroke and heart disease. Symptoms include excessive thirst, urinating too frequently, unusual loss of weight, extreme hunger, irritability, unusual fatigue and blurred vision. Take the diabetes risk test online.

Almost everyone knows someone with diabetes. One in three  of today’s Indianapolis children will contract the disease in their lifetime. Get out and join the fight, meet some fellow travelers and enjoy the beautiful scenery in downtown Indianapolis by the life-giving Indianapolis Canal Walk.
