Small Business Nominations Sought by SBA

Do you know a hard-working, exemplary small-business person in Indianapolis or another city in Indiana who deserves to be recognized for their talent and diligence? Why not nominate them for one of the many award given out by the United States SBA (Small Business Association) every year? The upcoming 47th National Small Business awards in 2010 are being organized right now, and your last chance to send in your nomination is November 13, 2009.

The Small Business Nominations award categories include:

  • Small business “Exporter of the Year”
  • Small business “Person of the Year”
  • Small business “Entrepreneur of the Year”
  • Community Rural Lender of the Year
  • SBA’s Entrepreneurial Success Award
  • Family-Owned Business of the Year

In addition, the Small Business Administration will present these Champion of the Year awards:

  • Home-Based Business Champion
  • Financial Services Champion
  • Minority Small Business Champion
  • Small business “Journalist of the Year”
  • Women in Business Champion
  • Veteran SBA Champion of the Year

Along with national recognition by the SBA, winners recognized during the 2010 Small Business Week will have another fifteen minutes of fame during the Indiana Small Business Week next Spring.
