Zionsville High School Takes Honors at Indianapolis Band Competition

The pride of Zionsville, Indiana, the Zionsville High School Marching Eagles, strutted their stuff at Ben Davis High School during the Indianapolis high school‘s Preview of Champions on Saturday, October 10. The Zionsville school won first prize in their class, Class B, for their show, “Rhapsody.” The band also took home honors for Best General Effect, Best Visual, Best Music, and Best Drum Majors.
The Ben Davis High School Preview of Champions took place on October 10 and featured eighteen of the best marching bands across four classes from around Indiana, including Westfield, Lawrence, Danville, Beech Grove, Mount Vernon, Monrovia, and Elwood.

The Indianapolis band has been turning heads in the Indianapolis music scene for some time this season; the Zionsville Marching Eagles have won prizes for Best Visual, Best General Effect, and Best Music five times this season, in addition to winning Best Auxiliary and Best Pit Crew twice.
The Marching Eagles will attempt to repeat their top notch performance in the Indiana State School Music Association Class B regional competition at Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana this coming Saturday.
