Butler University’s Vivian S. Delbrook Visiting Writers Series welcomes novelist Michelle Huneven this Wednesday, October 28 at 7:30 pm. This Indianapolis event is FREE to all Indianapolis people. Whether you are a long time fan of Michelle Huneven, or just looking to sample some new literature, this Indianapolis education event at Butler University will be enlightening.
Michelle Huneven authored three novels: Blame, Jamesland, and Round Rock. Blame is a two part story of a dysfunctional person. Patsy, a blackout drunk, is forced to get her life in order after landing in jail. However, her past haunts her just when she thinks she is safe. Jamesland is a tale that twist three individuals, bound by their own insanity, into a web of friendship. Once united, they discover what they never knew about themselves. Round Rock is the story of a love triangle set in the small town of Rito among the citrus groves in the Santa Bernita Valley where, the locals claim, nothing ever goes according to plan.
Butler Univeristy invited Michelle Huneven to read after each of her published novels received critical acclaim and commercial success, catapulting her into the literary limelight. The Los Angeles Time book review of Jamesland said, “Generosity, humor and tolerance shine in Michelle Huneven’s writing.” In addition to her fiction writing, Michelle Huneven writes restaurant reviews and other food journalism for the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Weekly. She is also the author of The Tao Gals Guide to Real Estate.
