Halloween is rapidly approaching, and what better way to celebrate the season than with a spooky, spirit-filled adventure in the woods? Head to Cool Creek Park in Carmel, Indiana, tonight for an eerie extravaganza that will delight kids of all ages.
This Indianapolis event begins at 7:00 p.m. and goes until 10:00 p.m. You’ll set out on a ghostly haunted path as darkness falls over the woods–watch out for things that go bump in the night! If your Indianapolis kids scare easily, you’ll probably want to make the haunted trail an adults-only activity. But there are plenty of ways for your little ones to enjoy Halloween at Cool Creek Park as well.
If your little ghost or goblin is the crafty sort, they’re in luck–there will be a special crafts section, and your child is free to take home his or her new work of holiday art. A non-scary hayride and campfire round out the list of kid-friendly fun.
And for the Indianapolis music lovers out there, this outing is definitely for you–a local DJ will provide the background noise for the evening, full of scary sounds and menacing music. Make sure to come with an appetite; a local softball team will be providing treats, including yummy fall fare such as hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and plenty of munchies.
Each booth along the haunted trail will be manned by local Indianapolis nonprofit organizations or Indianapolis schools, and all proceeds for this event go to these organizations. So you can feel good about giving back to the Indianapolis community while enjoying a night of frightful fun!
