The Indy Cat Club show on October 31, 2009 is the official 38th Cat Fanciers of America Championship Cat Show, and promises to be a doozie. If you’ve never attended a cat show and you love cats in all their quirkiness and natural beauty, you owe it to yourself to go and see what all the fuss is about.

Once you enter the Indiana State Fairgrounds, just northeast of the major Indianapolis downtown sector, head over to the Northwest Pavilion to see show cats of all varieties in all their splendor. Watching the way the judges handle the show cats and following the scores of your favorites is a big part of the fun at a cat show. Over the course of this unique Indianapolis event, you can get to know all the different breeds, learn what exactly makes a champion and talk to the owners and judges about this fascinating feline creature.
The Indy Cat Club Show has also arranged for another division in the competition: household pets, where cats need not be show cats to shine. Tons of vendors will be on hand with fun items to sell such as cat beds, pet supplies, cat toys, gifts and even clothing for your fuzzy friend.
If you’re in the market for a new family pet, be advised that the Indy Cat Club Show this weekend will also host the local animal shelters with adorable cats and kittens for adoption. You might want to bring a carrying cage with you, even if you didn’t plan on bringing home a pet; the experts who take care of these babies make sure they are clean, healthy and totally irresistible.
