The 60th Annual Christmas Gift & Hobby Show was born way back in 1949, with just a few exhibitors, a Santa Claus and a dream. Today it attracts more than 60,000 Hoosiers from the show’s host city, Indianapolis, as well as dozens of other nearby cities in Indiana. The Christmas Gift & Hobby Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds runs from November 11, 2009 through Sunday, November 15, 2009, so be sure to get down there and start your holiday right.
The Annual Christmas Gift & Hobby Show is the largest and most successful of its type in the entire Midwest, and one of the biggest in the United States. With over 350 top-notch exhibitors, the show offers a dizzying array of choices for everyone and every imaginable taste. Located inside the Indiana State Fairgrounds at the West Pavilion, this extremely popular Indianapolis event has come to signify the official beginning of the holiday season for many greater Indianapolis residents. It’s on the top of the “fun things to do in Indianapolis” list for tourists now visiting the area, too.
Five incredible acres of spectacular treasures await visitors to the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ West Pavilion just north of the Indianapolis downtown sector, on November 11-15, 2009, when the 60th anniversary Christmas Gift & Hobby Show opens its doors for the latest edition of “power shopping.” Hundreds of exhibitors will display thousands of high-quality items, all under one roof – wild, wonderful, some one-of-a-kind, all priced to sell.
“The Christmas Gift & Hobby Show is the original definition of power shopping!” exclaimed Donell Heberer Walton, executive director of HSI Show Productions, Inc., the locally owned-and-operated firm that presents the Christmas Gift & Hobby Show as well as Spring’s original garden show, the annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show, both at the State Fairgrounds’ West Pavilion.
