This Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is Santa’s Big Arrival at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. All good Indianapolis children will be there to greet Santa on the big day; they know that’s what gets them on the fast track to his “Nice Children” list. Santa Claus is scheduled to make a splashy entrance at precisely 9:50 Friday morning, November 27, 2009.

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum has it all planned out to make this a very special Indianapolis event. Arrive between 8:30 and 10 am and youth admission tickets are free when accompanied by an adult. There is also a 30% discount in the fabulous Children’s Museum Store.

The Jolly Days Winter Wonderland at the Children’s Museum this year is bigger and better than ever. Besides saying hi to Santa Claus, you can check out the fun Yule Slide, try your hand at ice fishing, skate on the ice pond inside the facility, see a play and visit Jingles the Jolly Bear and all his friends. And don’t forget to feed Santa’s wonderful reindeer.

Santa Claus has made a promise to stick around until Thursday, December 24, 2009, when things get kind of hectic for him. He wants to invite all Indianapolis tourists, Indy Hoosier families and those from neighboring cities to come and get the kids’ pictures taken with him, every Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. For your ultimate convenience and glee, many instant prints are made right on the premises, and usually take less than an hour. Choose from lots of different packages, including different sized photos, buttons, magnets, key chains, snowflake ornaments or a cool Snow Globe. (Place your orders of those prints the lab must mail before December 7th for guaranteed arrival.)

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum is one of the best of its kind in the world, the largest children’s museum on the planet and a premier listing on the long roster of excellent Indianapolis museums. Just north of the main bustle in downtown Indianapolis, this place is fascinating for kids and adults alike. It will appeal to everyone who walks in the door any time of the year, but the holidays are simply spectacular. Grab everybody and make it your home away from home this holiday season.
