Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre presents A Christmas Carol, December 5th through the 21st on the North side of Indianapolis, near the pyramids. This Christmas classic is designed to brighten your holiday season with the timeless tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge. Tickets are on sale now and range from $18.00 to $31.00, which includes a delicious buffet lovingly conceived by Chef Odell Ward. See this Indianapolis theatre in action as the Pyramid Players perform a holiday ghost story in only one hour, perfect for all Indianapolis kids, big and small.
Ebeneezer Scrooge is a miser. His partner Marley, long since dead, lived the same stodgy life never giving to charity and making life insufferable for their poor clerk, Bob Cratchit. But one Christmas Eve in Victorian England, Scrooge learns a lesson that will stick with him forever. He is visited by the ghost of his former partner, who warns him of his impending guests. Through the night, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come show Scrooge the error of his ways and the consequences of his behavior. Scrooge must learn to keep Christmas alive in himself all year long, before it is too late.
With all your favorite characters from Fezziwig to Tiny Tim, Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre invites you to share this holiday treat with your family. Eddie Curry returns as Ebeneezer Scrooge with the same crotchety spunk of Charles Dickens’ Scrooge. WRTV6’s Trisha Shepherd graces the Beef and Boards Stage once again, after playing the title role in last season’s Snow White. This time audiences will get a two for one, as Shepherd carries a bun in the oven that is due in May. “This won’t be the first time I’ve performed an acting role while expecting, and there is a dramatic advantage to having your emotions so close to the surface,” she said. “It will be a great story to tell this little one someday – that he/ she was on stage before birth!”
Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre prides itself on being a family event in production and presentation. The cast includes three real life siblings playing three-quarters of the Cratchit kids. Other Indianapolis theatre regulars such as Jonah D. Winston, Jason Gloye, Dave Ruark, Collin Poynter, John Vessels, Jill Kelly, Carrie S. Neal and Bobbie Bates round out the cast of A Christmas Carol at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre.
