Pianist Jim Brickman brings his talent on the  old ivory keys to Indianapolis’ Murat Theatre and Centre this Thursday, December 3 for his “Beautiful World” tour.  Tickets range from $29.00 to $49.00 and this one night only show begins at 8:00 pm. Indianapolis music attracts some of the biggest and best names in the industry, and Jim Brickman is no exception.

The Beautiful World concert tour was inspired by the 2009 PBS concert special of the same name. Brickman’s uses his experiences traveling and bridging borders and cultural divides with music to create a concert experience like none other. With themes of friendship, healing and connecting cultures, Jim Brickman presents a sound that melds musical influences from around the world.

This year he will travel to more than 125 cities across the United States sharing his music and his passion. This Indianapolis event is perfect for Hoosiers looking to get away from the chaos of the holiday season. With some special guests, Jim Brickman presents an evening of amazing solo piano, vivacious vocals, warmth and humor. Brickman will play music from his hit album Beautiful World as well as new and old traditional holiday favorites.

Jim Brickman is a revolutionary in the music world. He combines pop-style instrumentals with his solo piano style and star studded vocal collaborations to make a sound like no other. His first album No Words hit the charts in 1994. Since then he has made a name for himself in the music industry with countless awards and recognition. He has garnered six Gold and Platinum selling albums and topped the charts 26 times. A Grammy nominated artist, he received two SESAC “Songwriter of the Year” awards, a Canadian Country Music Award and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association.

Brickman has worked with the best of the best in the music industry. His collaborations include Martina McBride, Gerald Levert, Lady Antebellum, Michael W. Smith, Kenny Loggins, Carly Simon, Herb Alpert, Collin Raye, Pam Tillis, Michael Bolton, Sara Evans, Donny Osmond, Olivia Newton John and more. His most well known compositions are “Valentine,” “The Gift,” “Love of my Life,” “Simple Things” and “Peace.” In November of 2005, he had the distinction of holding the top three spots on Billboard’s New Age chart with his albums The Disney Songbook, Grace, and Greatest Hits.
