Let’s face it, it is harder to keep that easy going smile on your face in the dead of Winter. As the days grow colder the furrowed lines on our brows grow deeper. The only medicine for an aging symptom like that is laughter. This week get your dose of laughter at Crackers Comedy Club in Indianapolis downtown as Karen Rontowski takes the stage. Wednesday, December 16 through Saturday, December 19 Karen Rontowski headlines at this downtown Indianapolis comedy club.
Karen Rontowski is a hippie hangover from the simple days of free love and the fight for peace. This hippie dippie comedian is upbeat, optimistic and has a clean sense of humor. Known for her ability to charm an audience with her sweet quirkiness, Karen has had the honor of opening for show business legends such as Bob Hope, Ray Charles and the Monkees. Her shtick resembles “New Age Hippie” comedy to which Karen says, “there is no time like the present to be living in the past.”
As a professional comedian, Karen Rontowski has seen forty five of the fifty United States, Canada, Japan, Greenland and large portions of Europe. She has also been near the front lines of battle as she entertained the troops with tales of her Polish fathers attempts to build a drawbridge for their house (installing a garage door upside down counts, right?). But that must be Karen Rontowski’s optimistic nature turning her glasses rose colored.
