Indianapolis Children’s Choir Presents 3 Holiday Concerts This Weekend

The voices of children never cease to amaze with their purity, innocence and heavenly sound. The Indianapolis Children’s Choir has been harnessing the power of young vocalists for more than two decades. Whether in an ICC produced concert or along side some of the greatest Indianapolis music organizations in the Circle City, these kids are proud to share their collective musical talents. Join the Indianapolis Children’s Choir this Friday and Saturday for Angels Sing and Celebrate the Season, two holiday concerts for Indianapolis people.

You have heard them perform along side Indianapolis nonprofit organizations like the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Encore Vocal Arts and many more. Now hear the voices of the singers in the Indianapolis Chamber Choir take flight as they are featured in two special holiday concerts. On December 18 and 19 at 8:00 pm, join the Indianapolis Children’s Choir for Angels Sing at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. And on December 19 at 3:00 pm catch Celebrate the Season, also at St. Luke’s Methodist Church.

Indianapolis artist, Angela Brown, will accompany the angelic young voices in the Indianapolis Children’s Choir with her booming soprano vibrato. She will sing with the advanced singers of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, including the Indianapolis Youth Chorale. Angela Brown’s vocal power will amaze audiences and her larger than life personality will leave attendees thoroughly entertained. Brown is a seasoned performer with experience playing some of the biggest opera houses in the United States, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Brown has also been featured on the cover of numerous magazines including O Magazine, Ebony, The New York Times Magazine, Classical Singer, Essence and Reader’s Digest. She recently recorded a live Christmas Concert with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Indianapolis Opera Chorus for WFYI.

Do not miss the Indianapolis kids in the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, as they gleefully share their holiday favorites. Plus, a live brass quintet will add to the exuberance of the evening. And Saturday, December 19 at 3:oo pm, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir will present Celebrate the Season, an entirely different repertoire from other Indianapolis Children’s Choir groups. The Treble and Octavo choirs of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir are the lead groups in this performance. They will be joined by the regional choirs as well as the Indianapolis Youth Chorale. Together these vocal groups will truly help you Celebrate the Season with jolly holiday tunes. This performance will also take place at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

The Indianapolis Children’s Choir make their year long home on the campus of Butler University. Join the angelic singers in this Indianapolis performing arts group for three wonderful performances on the North side of Indianapolis this weekend. Both Angels Sing and Celebrate the Season are the perfect opportunity to hear some truly great caroling. Tickets for all three of these Indianapolis arts event are $12.00 in advance and $13.00 at the door.
