NCAA Hall of Champions Open FREE Friday!

The Twelve Free Days of Christmas, sponsored by the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association continues this weekend. The NCAA Hall of Champions will open its doors to Indianapolis people for FREE this Friday, December 18 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Located along the Canal Walk and White River State Park in the heart of Indianapolis downtown, this Indianapolis museum offers a glimpse into the triumphs of Indianapolis sports at some of the largest colleges and universities in Indiana.

The NCAA Hall of Champions offers Indianapolis tons of fun things to do for Indianapolis kids and adults alike. Make sure you give yourself enough time to experience all twenty three sports played by NCAA student athletes in the newly renovated NCAA Hall of Champions. Start in the kick off theatre with a video that features prospective, current and former student athletes. At kiosks devoted to all 23 of the NCAA sports, you can find information about up to the minute rankings, sports specific trivia, past champions and more.

Head to the second floor to check out dozens of interactive exhibits that will get you moving as you learn about the NCAA and college sports. Do not miss the two simulators that allow you to “virtually” experience five different sports. Then try out your backhand at the exhibit that features a tennis ball being shot at up to 100 mile per hour (demonstrating the power of a collegiate tennis players serve). Learn about how student athletes budget their time to make the grade and get in the game. Plus, the popular 1930s style gym is still open to Hoosiers, who want to practice their free throw shot. This Indianapolis attraction has something for everyone!

Get in the game at the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis downtown. This Indianapolis attraction is surrounded by tons of other Indy attractions like the Indiana State Museum, the Eiteljorg Museum and the Canal Walk.
