Bucky Covington, one of country music’s latest breakthrough artists, will rock the house at Indy‘s 8 Seconds Saloon next weekend. He’ll take the stage Friday night for his second visit to the Circle City. He made his debut appearance in Indianapolis at the Indiana State Fair in 2009, where he played a free concert for hundreds of Hoosier spectators.
Hit TV show American Idol gave Bucky Covington his first chance to shine on a national stage, and he captivated audiences across the country. He became known for his rock star appearance and his country boy charm. His sweet personality, long curly locks and baby blue eyes quickly made him a country music heartthrob.
Since his debut, Bucky Covington has appeared on popular TV shows like Live with Regis & Kelly, Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He appeared in Hannah Montana: The Movie and was also a part of the Country Sings Disney project.
Bucky Covington’s self titled debut album made country music history, and it made him the best-selling debut country artist of 2007. The album held the best first-week sales record and opened at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Bucky Covington not only produced three consecutive hit singles, he also ranked the highest Top 200 debut for any male country artist in the past 15 years. His outstanding performance in his first two years has gained him a huge fan base and a very loyal following. His next album, titled I’m Alright, is due to hit the shelves this spring.
Members of the Bucky Covington Fan Club who attend the 8 Seconds Saloon concert are eligible for a meet and greet session with the star. 8 Seconds Saloon doors open at 6 p.m. on Indy’s west side, and tickets are on sale now at ticketmaster.com.
