Henry Phillips has a casual brand of humor that will make you feel as if you are shooting the breeze with an old friend as he picks away on his guitar. As a stand up comedian and musician, Phillips blends his unique perspective on the world with tunes that will stick with you long after you leave the comedy club. His songs and stories are at the same time twisted and hilarious as he ponders events like “The End of the World.”
You may recognize this comedian from his many appearances on television. He has been seen on Comedy Central, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live and NBC’s “Late Friday.” In addition, you may have hear him on morning radio like “The Bob and Tom Show” heard in Indianapolis on WFBQ. His albums, which include songs like “The Guitar Pill” and “She’s Talking Again,” are also in regular rotation on satellite radio across the United States.

So far Henry Phillips has released three CDs: “On the Shoulders of Freaks,” “Number Two” and “Why Haven’t I Heard from You.” His music fuses mellow folk rock ballad with insane (bordering on psychopathic) lyrics. His unheard of style have earned him mention in the “Critic’s Choice” of Billboard magazine. In addition, real musicians such as Moby, have become avid followers of Henry Phillips calling him, “Disconcertingly funny.” Look for his biographical comedy film “Punching the Clown” on the film festival circuit. It received the Audience Choice award at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2009.
