These three friends take the stage all at once, each bringing their own hilarious routines, and leaving themselves wide open for riffs. This unstoppable combination of comedians have established themselves as one of the hottest comedy tours in the United States.
The comedy troupe, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, began in January 2000 as the brain child of Jeff Foxworthy. Foxworthy had already shot to stardom in the nineties with the start of the “You might be a Redneck if…” fad. His work earned him multiple Grammy awards for his comedy albums, and he maintains his status as one of the most successful comedians ever.
In 2000, when Foxworthy decided to go on tour with some of his best friends and fine comedians, it seems they had struck comic gold. The Blue Collar Comedy Tour swept the nation by storm in the early 2000s. Their common man brand of comedy has a wide appeal, with material from all four comedians that is completely relatable.

Their first tour lasted more than three years, after it was extended from an initial run of only twenty shows. In 2004, the team launched Blue Collar TV on The WB Network, Comedy Central and Comedy Network. Though the show was canceled only one year later, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour is still a favorite among many.It evened spawned a spin off tour called the Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Next Generation, starring young up and coming comedians hand picked by the fearsome threesome.
Now the Blue Collar Comedy Tour is back, with three of the four original cast members. Foxworthy’s comedy sets a tone based on his seriously funny running “Redneck” gag. Bill Engvall, who began is career on “Designing Women” of all places, got his first big break on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” That very same year he won American Comedy Awards’ Comic of the Year. From their his career skyrocketed, winning him numerous Grammy awards for his comedy albums. His humor dissects common sense with a wink and a smile, making simple observations hugely hilarious.
Larry the Cable Guy (aka Danial Lawrence Whitney) began as a radio disc jockey in Missouri. After developing the character “Larry the Cable Guy,” he was scooped up fast by the show biz industry. His character persona’s is that of a stereotypical redneck (a seemingly perfect fit with Foxworthy’s jokes). Through the freedom of the character Larry makes off-color jokes, recounts his family history and has a number of well known catch phrases including “Git-R-Done.”
