This Sunday, February 19, join Hoosier Hills Food Bank for the Hoosier Hills Soup Bowl. The 16th annual iteration of this popular event held in Bloomington, Indiana, will feature handmade pottery designs from more than 30 local artisans. In addition, your taste buds are in for a treat with a wide array of hearty soups and warm bread from over two dozen of the best bakers Bloomington has to offer.
Joining in on the fun as well will be the Hoosier state’s own Oliver Winery. Also nestled in the scenic town of Bloomington, this beloved winery will add its own special twist to the Hoosier Hills Soup Bowl. You can purchase the sweet, flavorful wines by the glass, and Oliver employees will be on hand to help you pair the perfect variety of vino with your different soups.
In addition, Indianapolis music lovers will be treated to performances from local artists who will donate their time to perform at this unique event. Last year, over 600 people attended the Hoosier Hills Soup Bowl, making it the biggest one-night affair benefiting the Food Bank all year.
The perfect mix of food and fun, this event is also a great way to get involved with one of your local nonprofit organizations–all proceeds will go to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. Tickets are $25 for adults and $6 for children. For more information, visit the website. And volunteers are needed, so if you’re interested in helping out, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To check out the wide variety of wines that will be available for you to purchase on Sunday, visit the Oliver Winery website. The winery is open year-round for tours and tastings, so make sure you plan a trip there in March or April, when the grounds will be blooming with fresh flowers and you can sit in the sunshine with a bottle of wine and your special someone. And make sure to check back often at FunCityFinder.com to keep updated on all of the spring happenings in Indy!
